Tee Nuts
Tee Nuts Overview
Tee nuts, often called T nuts are an excellent fastener when an internal thread is needed in a connecting timber section. They provide a strong, reliable, internally threaded surface for a bolted connection. Commonly used in furniture making and cabinetry made from timber, particle board or composite materials. All T nuts from our range are bright zinc plated for internal use.
Tee Nuts are inserted into a pre-drilled hole and tapped or hammered into place. Tee nuts feature an internal threaded metric coarse pitch barrel and flange with four claw like prongs that penetrate into the surface material, gripping tightly. They also allow the object to be assembled and dissembled easily as needed. Once the bolt is fitted through the connecting timbers and threaded into the T nut, this will prevent any further movement or rotation and provide a tight fix.
