Grub Screws
Grub Screws Overview
Grub screws, are a type of fastener that is primarily used to join one component tightly against another. Grub screws are designed for use without a nut but do function in a similar way to a bolt in that they thread into both components and provide a secure and tight fix. Common uses for grub screws include architectural metalwork and mechanical systems where two or more metal surfaces press directly together. Unlike traditional bolts and screws, grub screws have a threaded shaft that extends to the top, with no protruding head and don't require a nut to hold them in place. Instead, grub screws are designed to be driven into an existing tapped hole or socket using a hex drive or allen wrench attachment for installation.
