Wing tip screws are designed for screwing down timber sections to steel frames or beams. The wings clear a pilot hole through your timber section to prevent the boards jacking up and open up a countersink recess, once the wings engage with the steel frame they will snap off. For use with steel sections thicker than 1.2mm.
